GR MOTOSPORT AND STAUFF SET FOR SUPERBIKE WITH NEAVE TO CELEBRATE ELEVEN-YEAR PARTNERSHIP

GR Motosport will expand to a two-rider team in the Bennetts British Superbike Championship for the forthcoming season as Tom Neave joins the Sheffield-based contenders on the STAUFF Fluid Power Kawasaki alongside teammate Storm Stacey who lines up in LKQ Euro Car Parts Kawasaki colours.

The 2024 season marks the eleventh year of an extended partnership between the Team and STAUFF UK. As part of a global business the company with the Head Office in Sheffield and facilities in Aberdeen and Lisburn (Ireland) develop, manufacture and distribute components and pre-assembled kits consisting of pipework, manipulated tube, hose, filtration and many other fluid power related products. The portfolio is vast and is utilised in numerous industries from rail transportation, oil and gas production, MOD equipment, agriculture and marine vessels to name a few.

GR Motosport and STAUFF UK during this time have celebrated title victories in both the British Moto3 and Quattro Group British Supersport Championships, with the STAUFF team most recently competing in the Pirelli National Superstock Championship.

Neave joins the GR Motosport Team for their 29th season in the British Championship paddock after winning the 2021 Pirelli National Superstock Championship and competing in Bennetts BSB for the past two seasons.

Neave said: “I’m delighted to be joining GR Motosport to race the STAUFF Fluid Power Kawasaki ZX-10RR Superbike this year. Brent approached me with the opportunity at the end of last year, and I grabbed it with both hands. It marks a new chapter in my racing career where a change of team and manufacturer really excites me and I feel this new found motivation is just what I need to make the next step in my Superbike career.

“The team have really welcomed me into their family where the atmosphere is great. Storm and I had a great few days riding the STAUFF Superstock bike at Portimao and the speed was there for me straight away. I’m now really looking forward to swinging my leg over my STAUFF Fluid Power Superbike to get the season started.”

Iain Stansbie, MarCom Business Development Director commented:“We have thoroughly enjoyed the other championships we have supported, being involved with the whole team, watching the riders grow through the STAUFF Academy, all of whom we still follow today as their careers progress on both a national and global stage. However, we knew when Brent and Danny pitched us the idea of moving to the Superbike class, that it was the right time to make this happen.

“Having supported Storm for a number of years we understand that teamwork provided by the talented Tom Neave is the way to collectively bring us the success we are striving for. Although under different colours for sponsorship benefits, STAUFF, LKQ Euro Car Parts and GR Motosport are moving forward as one team, with targets firmly set. We wish them good luck for a great season ahead.”

Team Owner Brent Gladwin commented: “Firstly let me say how pleased I am to have signed Tom. The whole Team have welcomed him and immediately found a great working atmosphere, which we look to convert into good race results this coming season.  We are also very proud to have a continuing great relationship with everyone at STAUFF UK; our racing association has produced some fantastic race and Championship results, but also importantly the development of young stars on track and in the Team.

“We feel that it is the right time to add a STAUFF Fluid Power Kawasaki to our Superbike programme alongside Storm Stacey on the LKQ Euro Car Parts ZX-10RR. Although in different livery it is very much one Team under the GR Motosport banner, where I see Tom and Storm working hard together towards great results!”
