TOM NEAVE returns to the track at CADWELL PARK – 27/5/24
As part of his continued rehabilitation from injuries sustained at the first round of the season, Tom Neave successfully completed 60 laps of Cadwell Park yesterday on a NO-LIMITS track day.
Tom has been working really hard with his medical team to rebuild the strength in his damaged left knee and yesterday with Danny and Brent it was time to get back on the STAUFF Fluid Power Kawasaki for a few laps’
Tom said: “I have to thank Brent and the Team for today, it is only a few short weeks ago that I was injured and the initial thoughts was that it could have ruined the season for everyone. Brent brought the medical team together and they gave me the confidence that this was possible and with their support I have worked hard to get here today. I was a little apprehensive getting back on the bike first thing this morning but straight away I knew that things were really good. I was riding the Teams Superstock Training bike and my times were a little off but know I know that I can be ready for Knockhill in a few weeks’ time.
“The support I have received from everyone to be here today is just fantastic and I just can’t thank everyone enough, See you in Scotland.”
Team Owner Brent Gladwin commented: “Tom’s crashes in Spain certainly put a lot of pressure on the Team and I – after nearly 30 years as Team owner I have never experienced a start to the season like it.
“In Tom case I was able to put him with the right people to look after him and with his hard work under their guidance get him here today and I have to say I am pleased with the results. Tom has an extra few weeks to be ready personally which we are looking forward to.
Thanks to Tim Holderness for the great pictures from today
