GR MOTOSPORT returns to World Superbike paddock
In an exciting move GR Motosport will return to the World Superbike Championship Paddock entering Chloe Jones in the 2025 Women’s Circuit Racing World Championship (WorldWCR).
In her wild card debut Chloe Jones stunned everyone with her performance in the 2024 WorldWCR finale at Jerez in Spain, racing both bike and tyres for the first time. The 21-year-old Daventry rider took 2 astonishing 6th places on the GR Motosport prepared Championship Yamaha R7 after battling for the lead in race 2 with the New World WCR Champion Ana Carrasco, which has led to this full time entry in the 2025 Championship.
Chloe Jones: – “I am beyond excited for this new challenge and the opportunity that GR Motosport have given me to compete alongside some of the best riders in the world!
After my wildcard round at the last round at Jerez it’s been a whole whirlwind of emotions! The WorldWCR Series has been the aim for me, and to finally have the chance to have a full year attack at the championship is truly amazing.
I’m ready to give it everything I’ve got and represent my team, all my sponsors and supporters. I can’t thank the whole GR Motosport team enough for giving me this amazing opportunity and I honestly can’t wait to get going with some winter testing!
GR Motosport Team Owner and Managing Director Brent Gladwin: – “I just can’t explain the excitement and rejuvenation that the fun we had with Chloe in the WorldWCR at Jerez has brought to everyone here at GR. Its 25 years since we were last in the World Superbike Championship Paddock creating history and against the odds in Winning the inaugural AXO European Superstock 1000 Championship with Karl Harris.
As my Team approaches its 30th year, I feel that this opportunity with Chloe is the right time for GR Motosport to curtail our long history with the Bennetts British Superbike Championship Series.
GR Motosport was formed in 1995 winning our first Title that year. We were there when Robert Fennell of Two Four sports set up the M.C.R.C.B – 28 years ago with the vision we have today. Robert called upon the teams of the time to think about our image – improve and portray that in the best way to our fans on Television and Trackside. GR Motosport was one of the first to embrace the new world and bought a huge bus transporter and kitted the whole Team in our striking ‘Black and Orange’ Livery.
GR Motosport’s original and very successful ethos of Promoting our Partners and Developing Young People including Riders, Technicians and Media staff continues today and we take pride that many of the best currently in these fields passed through our Academy.
We have always been proactive in introducing Motorcycle Racing and its passionate fans to a host of new to the sport Blue Chip companies and have launched and activated their Marketing activities through the BSB Platform. NVIDIA, INTEL, WD40, LKQ Euro Car Parts and our Academy’s biggest supporter STAUFF UK to name a few
It has been a real pleasure to work with so many passionate friends within the Motorcycle trade like R&G who have been there for so long and Kawasaki UK, with whom we are still their only Supersport Champions in the last 30 years and many of these associations will continue.
GR Motosport are proud to have contributed toward The British Superbike Championships success. It is still the best National Racing Championship in the world with a fantastic Team running it, many of whom are so dear to me.
GR Motosport are looking forward to the future in continuing to expand our Academy Development Program and specialist projects into 2025.
