TESTING TIMES for GR Motosport
In the eight-week break since the last round of the WorldWCR Championship at Cremona, Italy, GR Motosport has been hard at work with an intensive testing program for rider Chloe Jones. All efforts have been geared towards peak preparation for the team’s all-important home round at Donington Park, taking place 11th–13th July.

The testing program aboard the GR Motosport-prepared Yamaha R7 has included an impressive 14 days at Donington Park, as well as an additional 4 days at the brand-new Balaton circuit in Hungary. This extensive track time, particularly at Donington, has been crucial in developing a strong base setting and helping Chloe deliver consistent, fast laps. Significant investment in data acquisition technology has further enabled the team to fine-tune the bike setup to meet the high demands of top-tier competition.
Although Chloe has previously completed many laps at Donington, competing at the WorldWCR level is a new and exciting challenge. The testing program has been key in ensuring she is both physically and mentally prepared.

Travelling to Balaton Park Circuit in Hungary was also a vital part of the preparation, allowing Chloe and the team to learn the new track and establish a competitive setup ahead of the return there just two weeks after Donington. Despite facing extremely high temperatures, the test was a success, with strong lap times and positive feedback throughout.
Rider Feedback
Chloe Jones:- “Its seems forever since the last race in Italy but we have done a lot of testing at Donington and Balaton, the track time has been more than I have done in the past and we have improved a lot. Danny fitted the new data system which helps with setup because its been hard to get the best from the suspension we are allowed on the WorldWCR bikes, and this has helped with the bike handling and my confidence. I cant wait to get going at Donington, I am really looking forward to the weekend.
GR Motosport Team Owner, Brent Gladwin, commented:
“The testing program has gone very well. It’s given Chloe the essential track time and, more importantly, the confidence to push and sustain competitive lap times. Danny, DK, and I have made sure Chloe has everything she needs to compete with the best women in the world. We’re now looking forward to the exciting races at Donington.”
The team is excited to welcome many Chloe Club Members and home fans to Donington Park and is counting on their support for what promises to be a thrilling race weekend, with races scheduled on both Saturday and Sunday.
